Time has come to introduce team 'Low Beam' to the wider world.
We are two middle aged men with middle age spread looking to travel the silk Road in a Nissan Micra as part of the 2008 Mongol Rally.

This blog will stand as a record of our preparation (Or lack of it) and an account of our adventure.
Why Low Beam you may ask? Well, with over 30 stone of male in the front seats of a small family car, chances are, we will never achieve full beam.
Nick and Alex have finally started on their 9,000 mile journey with a £7 bid on a petrol stove. It is hoped that it will become our companion and cook many nutritious meals between London and Ulan Bataar.
But our first real achievement has to be marked in this initial post. We have completed the actual purchase of a 'Magic Tree' air freshener, this is to be the cornerstone of our personal hygiene plans for our epic journey.

Lovin your blog already. I hope you bought your magic tree air freshener from a reputable dealer. Perish the thought you've bought a 'moody' one. Maybe you should take a spare !
